Athena Cosmetics sold RevitaLash and RevitaBrow products that contain potentially dangerous ingredients, specifically dechloro dihydroxy difluoro ethylcloprostenolamide (DDDE) – a chemical related to the glaucoma drug Latisse.

The ingredient allegedly can have serious side effects, including eye irritation, redness, darkening of the eyelid and eye inflammation.

According to the company’s website, RevitaLash is the No. 1 selling lash serum in the world.

The affected products include RevitaLash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner, RevitaLash Advanced Sensitive Eyelash Conditioner, RevitaLash Advanced Pro Eyelash Conditioner and/or RevitaBrow Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner.

Customers who purchased any of those products between January 1 2017 and December 29 2025 are eligible to apply for the class-action.

The case was first filed against Athena Cosmetics by consumers in 2024, specifically noting the inclusion of the harmful ingredient.

According to the plaintiffs, the company did not warn customers that the RevitaLash and RevitaBrow products contain DDDE.

Athena Cosmetics did not admit to any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $4.17 million to resolve the allegations.

Class-action members can receive either a cash payment or a product voucher.

Customers who submit a valid claim will be entitled to a cash payment for each product claimed.

And with proof of purchase they will also be eligible for multiple payments.

Consumers without proof of purchase can submit a claim for a cash payment of $20 or a product voucher worth $110 towards the purchase of any product sold by Athena Cosmetics on its RevitaLash e-commerce website.

Class members without proof of purchase will be limited to one cash payment per household.

Applicants must submit a claim before April 20.
