A nationwide gym chain is continuing to expand its territory in Central Texas with the planned opening of a new location in New Braunfels later this year.

Crunch Fitness is planning to open soon in New Braunfels inside the MarketPlace shopping center at 651 N. Business I-35, Ste. 900.
Representatives from Crunch Fitness told Community Impact they’re working to open this fall, although changes can be expected due to the construction process.

The gym is taking up residence in the former Gold’s Gym, which is now permanently closed to the public, according to its website.
This new location is one of several owned by the franchisee conglomerate The Undefeated Tribe, a group led by owner Tony Hartl and Executive Director Reed Traphagan, according to their website.
The company currently owns 41 gyms across the United States and has opened several Crunch locations in the local area within the last year, according to previous reporting from Community Impact.
