Here is the latest update on how to increase your immunity system.

We all know that Vitamin C plays a very important role in fighting common cold to by increasing our immune system.
When afflicted with the common cold, many people chug orange juice and swallow vitamin C supplements in an attempt to “boost” their immune systems.

But vitamin C supplements don’t ward off the common cold in most people, and there’s even less evidence that they grant immunity against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

The review found that vitamin C supplements taken during a cold can reduce the duration of the illness by 8% in adults and 14% in children.

Practically, that means that supplementing vitamin C can shorten the duration of a cold by about one day.

Participants in each study supplemented vitamin C for varying periods, but generally, the daily dose was at least 200 milligrams.

Here are some ways you can boost your immunity by regulating your lifestyle like controlling your stress level, maintaining your sleep cycle, have a healthy diet and do moderate exercise.

The immune system is a complex network of cells, organs and tissues that work in tandem to protect the body from infection.

While genetics play a role, we know from studies of twins that the strength of our immune system is largely determined by non heritable factors.

The germs we are exposed to over a lifetime, as well as lifestyle factors like stress, sleep, diet and exercise all play a role in the strength of our immune response.

Eating fiber rich food increases your immune system considerably.

Seeing as our bodies contain more cells belonging to microbes, such as bacteria and yeasts, than human ones, let’s start with the microbiome.

Not only do our microbes form protective barriers, they also programme our immune systems.

Animals bred with no microbiome have less well developed immune responses.

Older people, and those with diseases that are characterised by inflammation, such as allergies, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes, tend to have less varied gut microbiomes.

Being vegetarian isn’t a prerequisite for microbiome health, but the more plant foods you consume, the better.
