Today I’m going to talk about Vitamin D.

The Sunshine vitamin is very essential for our immunity & our bone strength. The natural way to get Vitamin D is to Sun charge your body & then it creates Vitamin D with the help of cholesterol (it is also Fat Soluble). Sun gazing is also beneficial since it increases Serotonin in the body.

Vitamin D & immune functions
Low Vitamin D is Low immunity, it does make one prone to infections.
We don’t get it much from our diet but we do get it from the Sun.
There are some studies that say the darker the skin tone, the longer it takes to converting Vitamin D in the body.
It’s best to get a check on the levels of Vitamin D & check with your health care professional for further advise.

Lack of Vitamin D;

Muscle pain (without any exertion or activity).
Bone pain.
Fatigue
Reduced Endurance
Low moods
Problems sleeping well.
Excessive sweating.
Hair loss (It is natural to lose hair when one grows older but if there’s excessive hair loss, it may be a reason).
Wounds take longer to heal
Dizziness
Increase risk of Heart disease
Excessive body weight
Recurring infections due to low immunity.
Reduced Cognitive functions.
