Hi, I’m Dr. Siddhant Bhargava and here are 3 ways to BOOST your immunity and beat Corona.

1. Your Diet –
There are 3 aspects to this. One is to increase the protein content in your diet. A low protein diet is linked to low immunity so up your protein content. NON-VEG food isn’t spreading corona but if nonveg is a no cheese paneer seeds nuts pulses soya tofu etc.
The second and extremely important aspect is ANTIOXIDANTS. Vitamin A C E and selenium are the most widely used antioxidants. The concept is to reduce inflammation /oxidation throughout the body cells helping them to stray healthier for longer. It also helps reduce inflammation in the gut which acts as a primary barrier to infection
Consume green leafy veggies, and bright colored fruits area must. You can supplement with medication as well. 1000mg of vitamin C is a good medication to start. Other anti-inflammatories are turmeric, ginger which is also very helpful in treating viral infections. Co-q 10 , astaxanthin and omega 3 supplements are also very useful.
You also don’t want to gorge on sugary substances because a higher blood glucose level acts as a breeding ground for superadded bacterial infection which is what actually is the killer in COVID-19
Please don’t AGGRESSIVELY DIET in this period as that can compromise immunity and stay well hydrated. Hydration is actually a first-line treatment for viral infections too.

2. Exercise
Increased activity is proven to improve immunity. Nothing strenuous. Just getting your heart rate up for 15 minutes a day will also help the situation.
SEX is also going to boost your immunity. But social distancing must be practiced.

3. Stress and Sleep
Not getting enough sleep is linked to compromised immune systems. Ensure 6-8 hours of sleep a day.
Keep levels of cortisol i.e stress low
