ABOUT DR. NIESLEY
Dr. Niesley earned her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University, Seattle, WA, in 2001. She subsequently completed a two-year, hospital-based residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) (www.cancercenter.com) near Chicago, Illinois. In 2005, Dr. Niesley obtained a Masters in Evaluative Clinical Sciences, with an emphasis on biostatistics and epidemiology, from Dartmouth College. Dr. Niesley spent several years working at the Raby Institute for Integrative Medicine ( www.rabyintegrativemedicine.com) at Northwestern in Chicago as a clinical researcher and as the co-director of Integrative Medicine Research.
She is a previous member of the Board of Directors for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She is the past-president of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Niesley has published multiple research articles on integrative oncology, acupuncture for cancer patients, Vitamin D deficiency in cancer patients, and other topics. She has been a speaker and presented multiple abstracts at various national and international conferences.
Dr. Niesley is originally from the Portland area, and attended University of Oregon for her undergraduate degree. Dr. Niesley left her position as the Director of Clinical Research at CTCA, Philadelphia, in February 2016. She is excited to be raising her own children here in her home state of Oregon.
Dr. Niesley’s experience in internal medicine and oncology, as well as in clinical research design and execution, allows her to easily understand and integrate into the current evidence-based model of modern conventional medicine.
