Our body is operated through many systems like respiratory, circulatory, hormonal, digestive, excretory, reproductive and immune system. Our immune system is our body’s defence mechanism which protects us from various bacteria, viruses, infections like cold, cough, allergies, sneezing, diarrhea especially in change of season. It constitutes of spleen, thymus gland, lymphatic system, antibodies, white blood cells (which circulate in our bloodstream and kill the bacteria & virus ). Our lymphatic system produces lymph which cleans the blood and drains out the waste through lymph nodes which have ducts around knee, armpits, groin etc.
Our immune system works perfectly all the life, if it is maintained by right kind of diet & lifestyle. The main causes of weakening of immune system are (1) Excess use of Sugar products, maida products, junk food, freezed dishes, smoking, alcohol (2) food which lacks proteins, vitamins & minerals especially daily dose of vitamin C, vitamin B6, B12, vitamin D, Iron, Zink, Magnesium, Citrus fruits which provide anti-oxidants to fight against germs (3) sleep deprivation, stress which suppress the immune system by overproduction of hormone called ‘cortisol’, lack of exercise & shallow breathing which
reduces the oxygenation and impurities damage the immunity before time.
