The immune system is a complex orchestration of different proteins, organs, and molecules harmonizing to maintain homeostasis. In this video, I paint a bigger picture of immunity concepts and their relationships to the current pandemic instead of focusing on the elaborate molecular pathways involved. Also by stating the unknowns of immunity, I hope to communicate why scientists don’t have immediate answers to questions about the duration of social distancing or development vaccines. This video lays a foundation to understand immunity in a comprehensible and engaging way.
