As per the reports, the vaccine candidate ZyCov-D, which was developed by the Vaccine Technology Centre in Ahmedabad, showed significant immune system response in its pre-clinical trials which was done on rabbits, rats, mice and guinea pigs to test the safety and efficacy of the vaccine candidate. India’s second vaccine candidate Zydus Cadila’s novel ZyCoV-D received approval from the authorities for commencing Phase I/II trails.

హైదరాబాద్: నగరానికి చెందిన ఫార్మా దిగ్గజం భారత్ బయోటెక్ ఇంటర్నేషనల్ కరోనా వ్యాక్సిన్ తయారీలో మరో ముందడుగు వేసింది.భారతీయ ఫార్మా కంపెనీ భారత్ బయోటెక్ అభివృద్ది చేసిన కరోనా వ్యాక్సిన్ Covaxin మొదటిదశ ప్రయోగం పూర్తయింది.
375 మందితో దేశంలోని 12 ప్రాంతాల్లో తొలి దశ క్లినికల్(మానవ) ట్రయల్స్ను జులై 15న ప్రారంభించినట్లు వెల్లడించింది.
