Researchers are in the process of developing more than 150 potential vaccines to protect against coronavirus.
Never before have so many teams worked simultaneously to create a drug that could save the lives of millions of people but one scientist claims of pressure to make it in the UK over fears of American politicians choosing to not share it with their allies.
UPDATE: A BEIS spokesperson said: “The race to discover a coronavirus vaccine is not a competition between countries, but the most urgent shared endeavour of our lifetimes. The UK government is working closely with the US and other countries on our response to COVID.”
