Zinc is an essential trace mineral that our bodies need. The way Zinc helps to heal skin is by reducing inflammation, increasing cellular turnover of skin cells and most importantly balancing hormones most specifically blocking DHT. The best way to get adequate amounts of Zinc is through food. Only use supplements to help get additional Zinc. Not all Zinc has equivalent bio availability. The form of Zinc supplements with the highest absorption is “Zinc Picolinate.”
