– Apples are a good source of vitamin C. 100g contains around 6mg which is 15% of the daily recommended amount.
– They are also a good source of vitamin K1. They provide around 7% of the daily recommended amount per 100g.
– They are source of B vitamins. They contain between 3–6% of the daily recommended amount per 100g in vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and vitamin B6.
– Apples are also a really good source of polyphenols, which are antioxidants. 100g contains around 200mg of polyphenols, including flavonoids.
– They contain around 1.2g of fibre per 100g, which is 4% of our daily needs.
– Lastly, apples are a source of minerals such as potassium, copper and iodine. 100g provides us with around 3% of the daily recommended amount.
