Meaning: Yawning, burping, coughing, exhaling forcefully and sneezing without covering the mouth should NOT be practiced.

‘Nāprakshalitpanipado bhunjit’
(Su. Ci. 24/98)

Meaning: NEVER have a meal without washing hands and feet.

Dhoopan: It is a method in ayurveda by which drugs of herbal, herbo-mineral or animal origin are used for fumigation to heal, disinfect and sterilise.

Aparajitha dhoopa –in fever –Guggulu resin, Agaru, Neem leaves, Resin of Sal tree, Deodar bark, Vacha, etc.

Commonly used drugs for fumigation purposes are: Guggulu resin (Commiphora mukul), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Sarsap/Indian mustard seeds (Brassica nigra), Hingu (Ferula assa-foetida), Agaru (Aquilaria agallocha Roxb.), Kutki(Picrorhiza kurrooa Royle), Jatamansi(Nardostachys jatamansi), Devdaru (Cedrus deodara), root of Indian Costusplant, karpur/camphor, turmeric powder, Saral/Pinus longifolia, etc.
