It is a HOT COVID DATA MESS tonight. A new publication in the premier scientific journal, Science, delineates confirmatory data that there is potential immunity to COVID19 in people who had a corona cold virus infection in the past. While not definitive in terms of clinical protection the paper illustrates the idea that COVID19 is not that very different from most RNA viruses. There can be immunity!! There is much study to be done in the future but this information stands the previous contention: “THERE IS NO IMMUNITY TO COVID19 NOW OR POTENTIALLY EVER” on its head.
The question we have to ask is since this is confirmatory data… why is it only this recent publication which is catching people’s attention? Other data previously published has been excoriated without scientific validity, the authors personally attacked, and overall the research has been studiously ignored by Federal Agencies and Umbrella Medical Organizations.
A brief discussion of clotting abnormalities is reviewed and the potential acceleration of clotting risk due to COVID19 infections is highlighted. The importance of contacting a person’s provider if they have a clotting abnormality and they get COVID is emphasized.
