Today, I want to share more about how incredibly important vitamin D (a pro-hormone) plays in achieving optimal whole health. The clinical vitamin D levels range from a low of 30 to a high of 100. I have been testing my patients’ levels for over 25 years and have found on average most come in at about 32. Though they are clinically within range, they are most likely not at an adequate level to support optimal immune function and/or a protective level to avoid many health challenges. Being at the 60 level has shown to help relieve and/or prevent many disorders including depression, cancers as well as upper respiratory infections, such as COVID. Once most have reached their optimal level they experience an overall improvement in their health, they sleep better, have less joint pain and improve cognitive clarity. It is also imperative to be proactive in maintaining that 60 level.
As always, I am not promoting these strategies as a cure for any disease. Though I do believe it is important to continue focusing on the positive strategies we can utilize while so many are being bombarded with negative news, which can have an adverse effect on your metabolism. As I have encouraged from the beginning, engaging in the utilization of the many readily available tools such as nutrient rich foods, essential vitamins and minerals, botanical, glutathione, ozone, etc. is a much better strategy than allowing fear to drive our decisions. Knowing that you are making wise choices to support your optimal whole health should give you great confidence and peace-of-mind during these challenging times. Be well.
