Title Card – A Kid’s Guide to the Coronavirus – Part 3
Video intro — Hi! It’s me, Breanna, from the ASDB Media Team. It’s time to answer some more of your questions!!
Title Card – Why is COVID-19 so bad?
Most people who get COVID-19 just have a cough or fever or runny nose. Doctors don’t know why but some people get REALLY sick. Maybe their immune system can’t fight as hard. maybe the immune system fights too hard and it hurts its own good human cells. Doctors are working to figure out what is happening to make us all feel better as quickly as they can.
Title Card – How will I know if I get it?
There is a special test for COVID-19 and if you feel sick, tell your parents right away. If you need to see the doctor, the doctor will put a q-tip up your nose and they will test your snot for the virus. We call it snot, you may call it boogers! YUCK! They will let your parents know if you have the virus.
Title Card – How can I stop Coronavirus?
That’s easy! Wash your hands!! But wash your hands REALLY GOOD!! Count to 20 in your head. When you reach 20, you are done washing your hands and you have helped stop the virus.
Also —try not to touch your face or mouth or rub your eyes. If you do have some virus on your hands — they won’t go into your mouth or nose where the virus can strike against your body!
And remember — if you cough or sneeze, do it into your elbow — just like a vampire! That’s easy, isn’t it?
