Biden says China is ’not competition for us,’ prompting pushback from both parties
“It’s wrong to pretend that China isn’t one of our major economic competitors.” Bernie Sanders rarely finds himself on the side of common sense, but his quote above accurately rebukes Biden for his weak stance on China. Stating clearly in a rally that “They [China] are not our competition,” Beijing Biden underscored his weakness on trade. Biden based his argument mostly on China’s own inefficiencies, noting “They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system.” Perhaps he is referring to the deals their state-sponsored companies have cut with his son’s companies.
