Proofing Citizens’ Covid Immunity
Thanks to 1Kosmos BlockID, governments and businesses will be able to authenticate whether a traveler or an employee, for example, is immune to Covid-19, ensuring a smooth and successful transition from “normal” to “new normal.”
First, the utilization of advanced Biometrics to secure the identity of the citizen who shares his Covid test results electronically with an employer is key. A hacker cannot indeed reproduce and therefore compromise the analysis and result of a liveness test, for example.
Second, a decentralized database like Blockchain that is virtually uncompromisable and that initiates peer-to-peer transactions while ensuring the immutability of the data stored is the answer to risks associated with systems hacking.
The combination of advanced Biometrics to enroll and authenticate an individual and Blockchain technology to guarantee data is securely stored while facilitating exchange between the data owner and an entity (business, airlines) seems to be the only viable option at the moment.
