1. Caused more injuries, joint compressions, & the exercises go against human biology/physiology (which is to stand, walk, run, & throw). The body is not meant to isolate muscles or do exercises in one plane of motion all the time. Look into Thomas Meyers book Anatomy Trains and the work of Functional Patterns.
2. My goal was focused on how much weight I could lift and how big I looked/aesthetically pleasing. Now it is about posture, gait cycle, health, longevity, stress reduction, improving sleep quality, energy levels, hormones, and more.
3. The Environment. I would rather be working outdoors, breathing fresh air, in sunlight, grounded, instead of being under blue artificial light, fake air, no sunlight, etc.
