These are great little, easy to swallow pills. There are definite and highly researched proof of the benefits of D3. At the height of the flu/cold season I up it to 2×1000 per day and if already sick, I go to 3000mcg with no bad effects.

There are two forms of vitamin D … D2 (Ergocalciferol) and D3 (cholecalciferol ). However, vitamin D3 is formed when the body synthesizes sunlight on its surface.
It mainly occurs through the exposure of the skin to UVA and UVB rays. My physicians have me take D3 at all times due to the fact that I am predominantly home bound and I am light sensitive so I dont get out in the sun.
