About 80% of the population needs to have protective antibodies to achieve herd immunity, said Dr Soumya Swaminathan, chief scientist, World Health Organisation in conversation with ThePrint’s editor-in-chief Shekhar Gupta. The only way to achieve it safely is through vaccination and till then we will have to continue public health measures driven by data and remain agile and adaptable, said Swaminathan.
