[Music] Hi everyone. Today I’m going to show you a way to get excited about taking your vitamins. It’s important to not forget to take them. It’s important to be consistent with them. And it’s important to choose the vitamins that you need. This is kind of my healthy area in my kitchen where I make my shakes, I make my coffee, and I store my vitamins and they’re up here. So, this is my current vitamin collection. I do change what I take depending on the time of year and what my needs are. I really like to double up in the winter time to avoid colds and the flu and all of that. This is my supply. And then this is my daily vitamin holder. I think it’s really important to have something to put your vitamins in that gets you excited about taking them. This is definitely elevated from the old plastic or hospital blue vitamin holder. This is made from wood. I bought this on Amazon. It’s really cool. So when you start out the week, it’s like that. has all these magnets in here and you just sort of shift day by day to see where your vitamins are. Well, so today’s Wednesday. There are my vitamins waiting for me. First, I’m going to show you what all I have in here. Also, I’m going to show you this other vitamin holder that I have. I keep this one by my bed. This is for the vitamins that I take before I go to bed at night. I first bought one of these for my daughter because it’s pink and it’s kind of glamorous because it’s all gold on the inside and has a mirror. I ordered this directly from the company called Dosey, small brand company. I just love it. So, anything that gets you excited about taking your vitamins and remembering them is great. You can find a container that really kind of speaks to you. So, I have all my vitamins in this cute little bamboo container just to keep them all together, keep them nice and neat. Here’s what I take. The very most important thing that I take every day without fail for about 15 years now is vitamin D. This also has vitamin K1 and K2 in it, which is really important because you won’t really get the benefits from the vitamin D as well if you don’t have it supported with K1 or K2. This is a 5,000 IU pill, which in the summertime maybe that’s all I take is one of these, maybe two. But check with your physician first. I typically take 10,000 IUs and so does my husband. These are small. They’re only little tiny. So when I’m swallowing vitamins, I don’t like to swallow a lot. That’s not good for you cuz they could get stuck and it’s really unpleasant. These are the only ones that I’ll swallow two or three at a time. Vitamin D is so important for everything. It is so good for our immune system. It’s really good for preventing breast cancer and other types of cancer. We don’t go out in the sun as much as we used to in the old days. And a lot of people wear a lot of sunscreen and that all prevents us from getting the vitamin D that our ancestors had. That’s why we definitely need to supplement on this. It’s good for so many things. Okay. To support my vitamin D, I take zinc. I just take one of these a day. It also helps in the winter time to prevent colds and flu and and infections. Your vitamin D will also work better if you have zinc. Now, the other thing that helps your vitamin D work better is magnesium. And I keep that in here because I take that before I go to sleep at night. Magnesium also helps you sleep. also helps with blood glucose levels. Magnesium is kind of the spark plug of the body. You always want to take magnesium because most of our population is magnesium deficient and vitamin D deficient as well. What else do I take to support my vitamin D potassium? And that’s really the only reason I can think of that I take this because it does help your vitamin D work at its best. But I know potassium does all sorts of other things as well. And people are like, “Oh, you can get that from bananas.” And well, only if you want to eat like 20 bananas each day. I just take one of these. Let’s get into some of the others that don’t have anything to do with vitamin D. This raw B complex. We’re also typically deficient in B vitamins as well. And B vitamins are good for the mood and for brain health. We got started on these at our house during COVID when everything was kind of a big downer. My kids were bummed because they couldn’t go to school. So, we all started taking vitamin B. This includes B12, B2, B6, and B1. All the good bees. I also take a lot of vitamin C, especially in the winter. I try to double up on this. I have seasonal allergies from really January to March. I really try to be very careful about everything I take during those months. Vitamin C is great. I’ve been taking this CoQ10. I kind of switch back and forth between this and omega-3s. I’ve even taken cod liver oil pills. They’re all a little bit in the same family, but I kind of think when I finish this, I’m either going to continue taking this CoQ10 and add uh omega-3s to it, or I may just switch this out for a while with omega-3s and see how that works. Oh, got to have a probiotic each day. You would not believe all the things that probiotics help with. The gut lining is so important in our health in so many different ways. It affects brain health. It can prevent leaky gut syndrome, which I know sounds super weird, but it’s not that uncommon. I really suggest a good probiotic each day. Also, try to eat some prebiotics and some other probiotics as well. The more different types of good bacteria that you have, the better. We’ll talk about that more in another video because I actually make my own yogurt to make sure that I get one particular type of bacteria that most of us like 95% of the American population do not have anymore thanks to antibiotics and that sort of thing. This is a vitamin E that I’ve been taking just for my skin. Not sure if it’s helping, but it’s a small little tablet, so I’m doing that one. I also take this multivitamin just in case I’m missing anything or there’s something small I want to make sure I get it in. The last thing, this is a new one that I’ve been trying lately. Bourberin. I don’t know a lot about it, but it’s supposed to help with weight loss. So, I’m giving it a try right now. I will do more research on this and maybe we’ll talk about it. You may notice some consistency with my different types of vitamins. Uh you really want to get good quality. You do not want to scrimp and save when it comes to vitamins. I really like this Garden of Life brand. So I buy a couple of their things. That’s my vitamin C and my B1. Then I also really like this Designs for Health brand. This brand is highly recommended by Dr. Mark Hyman and he even takes their he takes their vitamin D. So that’s my probiotic, that’s my vitamin D, that’s my zinc, that’s my E, and that’s my CoQ10. So then, as I mentioned, I get the multivitamin from Aloe. These two, the bourberine and the potassium are both made by Thorne. Also, my magnesium is designed for health. Something else we need to talk about is there is a best time of day to take your vitamins. Some vitamins like vitamin D and vitamin C give you energy and it can be just enough to interrupt your sleep. So, you definitely want to take those in the morning. You don’t want to take those before you go to bed. The other thing is some of these vitamins are fat soluble. So, you want to make sure you’re taking them when you’re eating some fat. I usually take mine in the morning when I have my bulletproof coffee, which has MCT oil and grass-fed butter in it. So, here’s a good way to know which vitamins are fat soluble. Just remember the acronym ADC. A D E K. So, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin K are all fat soluble. So, those are the ones that you need to take with your breakfast or with a shake, something that’s got some fat in it. They’ll be much more effective. If there’s anything I haven’t addressed here that you feel like you need, it’s easy to find a YouTube video about your specific concern and see what vitamins are recommended for it. So, I hope this helps. I’ll link these vitamin containers down below. I’ll link these brands below. Hopefully, you’ll start getting motivated to take your vitamins every single day and start enjoying the benefits of them. You deserve it. See you next time. Bye-bye. [Music]
