Here are three ways how to spot fake supplements. Okay. Number one, if the label says something like USP grade, that’s an indicator that there are synthetic nutrients in that vitamin. Number two, if it doesn’t always say the source being whole food nutrients, for instance, the synthetic vitamins, the B vitamins are often from the petrochemical industry. Great example is vitamin B6. If it says in brackets purodoxine hydrochloride, that is a synthetic chemical form of that vitamin. And number three, the additives. So if it’s a brightly colored tablet, usually there’s going to be some additives in there. If there is flavor enhancers in there, also synthetic ingredients, and of course, if there’s a lot of fillers and flow agents, so that magnesium sterate, please make sure it’s not in your supplements.
