Updated video in answering the question Can You Take Prenatal Vitamins for Faster Hair Growth? After my last video testing out prenatal vitamins for hair growth, I had to post an updated video with recent information regarding prenatal vitamins and hair growth. In today’s video, I will be discussing the safety in taking prenatal vitamins if you are not pregnant and if prenatal vitamins can actually grow your hair while pregnant.

If you are pregnant, have you personally noticed hair growth while taking prenatal vitamins? As always, I am NOT a hairstylist, hair care professional, nor am I a medical professional. Nothing I say in this video should be perceived as medical advice. Everyone who clicks or watches this video will acknowledge that I am just a girl with a camera, vlogging my personal experience in taking prenatal vitamins prior to my first pregnancy, and during both of my first pregnancies.

#victoriavaden #prenatalsforfasterhairgrowth #pregnancyupdate

– Hey, everybody, welcome
back to my channel. Three years ago, I reviewed prenatal vitamins
for faster hair growth. I talked about a couple of
different things in that video, and apparently since then, articles have come out. So, I felt the need to update. If you guys are new to my channel, I am currently seven months pregnant, so I’m exactly 30 weeks today. I am currently taking prenatal vitamins. A quick backstory, basically, I started out taking prenatal vitamins when I was in college. For those of you who are brand new, I started my channel basically
reviewing hair products because my hair was like to here. It grew down to like mid-back length is what I grew it to, and then chopped it off. What I was told back then, and what I thought back then, is that you could take it
when you weren’t pregnant and you would just get
like the double growth, and anything that you didn’t use, like your body didn’t need, you would just excrete it, like, you know, get rid of it somehow. Apparently, since then, there have been articles out that it’s not suggested, if you’re not pregnant or you’re not planning to be
pregnant in the near future, you should not take prenatal vitamins. I get asked so often, like, if something’s going to work for me, should I take this? Should I take that? Guys, I’m a YouTuber. I am not a doctor. So, you guys need to be
talking to your doctor and seeing what they think. But, overall, apparently,
it’s not suggested to take prenatal vitamins
for faster hair growth if you are not pregnant. Now, if you are pregnant, I have noticed there are differences with the prenatal vitamins. So, I think I mentioned
this in the last video that I did like a couple of years ago. So, I’ve tried, at this point, four different versions, four different brands. Previously, like, I didn’t
get any really hair growth with my first pregnancy with my daughter. I think it was because I didn’t take the correct prenatal vitamin that had biotin in it, because apparently not
all of them have biotin in prenatal vitamins. So, with this pregnancy, I am in my third trimester, ’cause I’m 30 weeks, but I started out taking the ones that I’ve always taken in the past, like the gummy version of, I think, the vitafusion. Baby hated those. I dreaded every single
day taking those vitamins, and there were a couple of
days I actually skipped taking ’cause I just felt sick taking them. But they did not have biotin in it. So, I’m glad that that actually happened because I want to take something that actually has biotin in it, so I can keep my hair growing, because I want my hair
back to its regular length since I big chopped two years ago. I switched to One A Day, the regular, like, the
horse pill-type vitamins. Those were just fine, like, the baby was fine with eating those. I just prefer gummies ’cause
I enjoy eating gummies. So, I ended up finding the One A Day Women’s Prenatal Gummies. And so, this is basically
similar to the vitamins I was taking before, but this is just the gummy version. This does, and so does that one, have biotin in it, so that was the first thing that I checked just to make sure. And let me tell you, in the first trimester, like halfway through the second trimester, I didn’t notice really much growth at all. Like my hair, if anything, seemed like it was getting shorter, and I did trim it twice, but it still seemed like it
was kind of just stagnant, like it wasn’t growing really at all. Switch to this and in one month, like my hair grew. If I can find a clip or a picture, I’ll insert it. But basically my hair was like just below my collarbone and my hair is down here now. Look at that growth. That was like a two-inch growth. I said to my husband, I was like, geez, if I
just keep taking these, like by the end of my
pregnancy, you know, in April, my hair should be back normal. And I wasn’t expecting to get my hair back to its original length ’till December. In one month, for me to
grow like that much hair, I’m shocked, like, literally shocked. And I love how these taste and I’m so glad that
the baby loves them too. I just felt the need to update you guys. So, you can grow your
hair while you’re pregnant if you’re still on a hair journey and you want your hair to grow. But just make sure
you’re reading the label because not all prenatal
vitamins have biotin in it. Check the description box to read those articles where it says it’s not suggested, or it’s not recommended, and talk to your doctor, if that’s something you’re trying to do, whether you’re pregnant or not. If you’re on a hair journey though, and you’re pregnant, I would love to know
what you guys are taking or what you guys are doing
specifically to grow your hair if you notice a difference. And if you are carrying a boy, I would love to know if
your hair is growing faster, ’cause I feel like if
you’re pregnant with a boy, your hair grows faster than when you’re pregnant with a girl ’cause this is my second girl and I haven’t noticed
substantial hair growth. My friends who carry boys, their hair was like down to their back. And I’m like, what the heck? Let me know if that applies to you or not. Otherwise, check the description box. Make sure you’re subscribed, so you don’t miss anything, especially with baby updates ’cause I will be giving
birth in just a few months. And I will see you guys in the next video. Bye, thanks for watching. (light music)
