Hi everyone, I’m Dr. Achel Pant and today I’ll be reviewing products from the brand PhD proven honest derma. This brand makes sciencebacked products which are formulated by dermatologists. I’ve been hearing a lot about this so I thought I’ll review all the products today. I have five products of theirs to review. So let’s get started. First is the 10% nyinamide spot correcting serum. This contains 10% nyioinamide, 2% nacetyl glucosamine, sentella and 1% alpha albutin. So this product claims to lighten dark spots. If you have acne and acne spots, those tend to fade away. It makes skin tone more even while hydrating and moisturizing the skin. Sentella helps in reducing the inflammation and also helps in reducing open pores. So if you are somebody who is looking for a serum that they can use morning and night to improve skin quality, reduce open pores, dark spots, and mild acne while hydrating and soothing the skin, then this serum is a good choice. The product claims to help fade post acne dark spots and blemishes, reduces excess sebum production, calms redness and inflammation, and supports skin barrier and repair function. I like how lightweight the formula is. Sometimes nyinomite can feel a little sticky but this one is very waterlike, very easy spreadability, easy to use, does not feel oily or sticky on the skin. The presence of an acetyl glucosamine makes this um really nice on the skin moisturizing and also instantly gives the skin a plump up effect. And I’m sure you’ll enjoy using the serum if you’re looking for something with ninamide in it. So overall this serum will suit those with oily acne prone skin, oily sensitive skin and those looking to fade dark spots. Also it can be helpful in reducing open pores. Second serum is the PhD 2% alpha arbutin deeppigmentation serum. This serum contains 2% alpha arbutin tyrobrite along with tripeptides. So the benefits of the serum is that it targets dark spots. If you have sun spots, if you have tanning, uneven skin tone, then also this serum can help presence of tripeptides, helps in moisturizing, hydrating the skin and also stimulating collagen production. So let’s start with the texture. It has a clear watery serum which spreads easily. Does not have any sticky residue. It sits well under your SPF. Alpha arbutin is a good ingredient. It’s quite underrated when it comes to improving your skin tone. It can help in reducing dark spots making your skin tone more even and also reduces tanning. It reduces melanin production from the skin. Along with this styroite also reduces melanin synthesis thereby brightening the skin. Tripeptide send signal to the skin to make new collagen. So it hydrates the skin and also plumps the skin up over time. So this pigmentation correction serum is well formulated to suit those who are in a older age bracket. let’s say 40 above when you start noticing that your skin is looking dull and it has lost its uh you know glow then you can use this serum as this combination ingredients are helpful in improving your overall skin quality. So if you are somebody struggling with dark spots, uneven skin tone and dull skin, you’re going to enjoy using the serum. The third serum is the PHD 2% salicylic acid clarifying serum. This serum has 2% salicylic acid, zinc PCA, nyinamide, centila, and tea tree oil. So overall, it is a good serum to use if you are struggling with acne. The product claims are that it causes gentle exfoliation and reduces blackheads and white heads. Also reduces mild acne. It soothes inflammation and prevents further acne breakout. It reduces active acne and excessive oil production. It soothes inflammation and prevents further acne breakout. Now we’ll come to the texture. It has a watery texture again like other serums that we’ve seen so far. Since it has salicylic acid, you may feel that you know it can be very stinging on the skin or it might irritate the skin. But this one doesn’t because the presence of ninamide and centila. This actually feels nice and soothing on the skin. Sometimes salicyic acid based serums can be irritating and drying but the presence of these ingredients makes this suitable for the even oily sensitive skin type or combination skin type as well. Salicylic acid causes gentle exfoliation. Nasinomide helps in reducing oil production also reduces open pores and reduces dark spots. Sentella asiatica is a soothing ingredient. So if there’s any kind of redness, irritation, it helps in soothing that. and the presence of tea tree oil that helps in reducing acne. The combination of green tea and scentella makes this serum very soothing on the skin. So if you are somebody who’s struggling with damaged skin barrier and you feel your skin is red and irritated and you want to use a salicylic acid or something to control your acne then see this serum is a good choice. This serum has no alcohol and no fragrance. So who will it suit? Somebody with oily skin, oily sensitive skin or even combination skin looking to control their acne. This one is a good choice. The fourth product is the vitamin C brightening moisturizer. This contains ethylcorbic acid, ferillic acid, vitamin E and co-enzyme Q10. This moisturizer brightens the skin, makes your skin tone more even, reduces faint dark spots and also gives it antioxidant protection to the skin. This moisturizer helps in brightening the skin, makes the skin tone more even. It gives that antioxidant protection to the skin. It boosts collagen synthesis in the skin, reduces the appearance of early signs of aging and overall improves the quality of skin. So we’ll talk about the texture. The texture is cream gel-like hybrid texture. It’s fast absorbing and is non- greasy. First of all, it has three ethilecorbic acid which is a stable form of vitamin C which is non-erritating which is better tolerated in our skin type. This is combined with vitamin E and feruic acid which helps in stabilizing the vitamin C so that it can provide the antioxidant benefits. Co-enzyme Q10 is also a good antioxidant. So overall this helps in reducing free radical damage that you’re exposed to on a day-to-day basis and you know all the pollution, dirt, dust that can irritate the skin, UV rays that can cause the production of free radicals. This can be nullified with a use of a cream with all these ingredients. This moisturizer has citril olivate and sorbeton olive which is barrier repairing. So it helps in strengthening the barrier, does not irritate the skin while providing all the benefits of these ingredients. So this moisturizer is a good choice if you’re looking for something that helps in brightening the skin. If you are someone who does not like to layer too many products and you know just one product and you’re done then this moisturizer a good choice you can use this once twice in a day. Fifth product is the PhD ceramide hydrating cleanser. This contains ceramides along with hyaluronic acid. This helps in gently cleansing the skin without drying it out. Does not make your skin taut or dry and hydrates and soothes the skin while cleansing. If you feel that your skin feels tight or dry after washing, then you’re not choosing the right cleanser. You have to use a cleanser with soothing ingredients. This cleanser is loaded with ingredients that helps in keeping your skin smooth, supple and soft while cleansing. It does not dry or irritate the skin out. This contains dissile gluccoside, cocoside and cocoid propile betane which cleanses the skin without drying the skin out. So this combination cleanses the skin without making your skin feel dry or squeaky. The presence of ceramides, five types of ceramides which are also naturally present in the skin along with free fatty acids and triglycerides makes this cleanser very soothing on the skin. It cleanses without irritating or drying the skin out. So if you are somebody who has normal, sensitive, dry, combination or oily skin, looking for a cleanser which does not irritate your skin or does not damage the skin barrier, then this one is a good choice. So all the products that I’ve tried from PhD have been quite impressive. I like that it’s sciencebacked and it’s packed with ingredients that have proven efficacy and are well researched.
