were so wrapped up in the latest trendy supplement or health hack and not really looking at lifestyle changes. Do you think we’re becoming addicted to the wellness culture instead of real wellness? I think in one sense yes because getting down to the basics of just being outside in the sun, being exposed to nature, getting off your computer, less screen time. These are really basic things that everyone should be doing on a regular basis. Would you say that we’re living longer but dying slower? Yeah. What’s the sense of living longer when you’re in a nursing home not being able to think because you have dementia? Like it’s just not the quality of life that we’re looking for because they’re just trying to keep people alive but not focus on the quality of existence. And what do you think is the biggest thing doctors get wrong about this? They omit the lifestyle changes. They omit evaluating the diet or food in relationship to their ability to recommend certain things. In medicine, it’s all about managing your symptoms, but not factoring in the root causes, which is lifestyle changes and food. Do you think it’s possible that most people have never actually felt what real health feels like? I think that’s true. It was true for me. I didn’t realize how good I can feel until after I changed my diet by cutting down my carbs and eating more protein, especially for breakfast. And it was just like, oh my goodness, if I could feel like this every day, I would actually make these changes.
