My preference is a marinebased calcium from algae because it also includes a range of other trace minerals like small amounts of magnesium, small amounts of iodine. And I’d look for brands that include vitamin K2 as MK7 in their calcium supplement because vitamin K2 helps ensure the calcium is directed away from the blood vessels and into the bones. And lastly, I would make sure that I’m doing my best to hit 100% of my magnesium needs every day because once the calcium’s in the bone, magnesium helps make sure that it stays there. Similar to the vitamin K2 where it helps reduce calcium from building up in our blood vessels.
