the CDC and FDA are discussing whether higher risk groups so elderly people or people with compromised immune systems should get yet another booster I think it’s very clear there’s not going to be recommendation for healthy adults healthy young people to get an additional booster in the near future there probably will be a recommendation for higher risk groups elderly or immunocompromised they get a booster what’s been shown is that in those groups there’s maximum protection for about four months and then protection wanes so it seems likely in the next couple weeks there will be a recommendation for the higher risk groups to get an additional booster want to spend four months since the last five Island booster and that we should be hearing about that soon
