The one deficiency that I think is really common for fertility is vitamin D. I practice in Chicago, so I’m in the Midwest, so most people living in the Midwest are vitamin D deficient. And that isn’t just because we’re not consuming enough. It’s mostly because we’re not out in the sun um for most of the year cuz it’s too cold. And we used to test everyone for their vitamin D levels, but since most people were deficient, we have gone away from even testing people for their vitamin D levels. And instead, we just recommend that our patients take an additional vitamin D supplement of 1,000 to 2,000 IUs a day.
