MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF) – The Alabama Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the murder case against former Decatur police officer Mac Marquette.
An order from the state’s high court today shows the oral arguments will be held on January 28 at the University of Alabama.
The arguments will be heard as Marquette fights for immunity from prosecution for the 2023 shooting death of Steve Perkins.
Prosecutors argued that Marquette has not shown a clear legal right to immunity.
