Nothing elevates a look like a monochrome moment, using the same shade across eyes, cheeks and lips making everything feel pulled together. NYFW Spring/Summer 2026 leaned heavily into soft, everyday tonal makeup at Collina Strada and Kim Shui, and the trend will be even bigger in months to come.
“The key is switching up the texture, so the face doesn’t go flat,” says celebrity makeup artist Christian Briceno. “I’ll do a matte eye, cream blush and a glossy lip, all in rose or terracotta. You don’t have to think too hard; it just works. It’s fast, chic, and universally flattering.”
