HIGH VITAMIN C FOODS TO PUT IN THEIR BOWL!
#1. Red Bell pepers! – 190mg of Vitamin C. I really only recommend feeding them 1/4th cup chopped up!
#2. Broccoli – The king vegetable! Since this veggie is dense, a ½ cup of steamed broccoli is plenty!
#2. Oranges – 80 to 90 mg Vit C per orange. A large breed dog can have 1 full orange where as a smaller dog is just fine with 1 slice.
#4. Mangos – The pit is very dangerous with a small amount of cyanide and can get stuck in their intestines requiring emergency surgery to remove it. Anyways, when the skin is removed and its diced up one mango has 122.3 mg of vitamin C, has vitamin A, b6 and E making them super nutritious for you pups. About 1-2 slices of mango a day!
#5. Strawberries! About 8 strawberries has 65mg of vitamin C. 1-2 strawberries is enough for a small dog and larger dog’s can have more.
I also love Blueberries, Guava + Papaya is also a great one, but should be fed in moderation since their high in sugar!
