Old Hollywood glamour and K-beauty came together on the faces of the A-list at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.

At the ceremony Sunday night in Los Angeles, stars like Selena Gomez and Ryan Destiny paired Old Hollwood, chin-length bobs and statement lips with more contemporary, glass-skin makeup finishes that prevailed elsewhere on the red carpet, as well.

Gomez’s makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, prepped Gomez’s skin using Korean skin care brand Dr. Althea, which was also used by makeup artist Kevin Cheah to prep the skin of Korean singer and songwriter Ejae, who is the singing voice of Rumi in “KPop Demon Hunters.”

Other stars like Laufey, Wunmi Mosaku and Emily Blunt also sported a next-level glow, but don’t call it no-makeup makeup: colorful lips and winged liner were abound. “Blackpink” member Lisa, meanwhile, embodied Korea’s popular Aegyo Sal makeup look, which aims to create an illusion of under-eye fat for a youthful look.

Lancôme ambassador Amanda Seyfried paired her classic updo with a luminous complexion, while Tessa Thompson, nominated for her role in “Hedda” for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama, also donned a fresh-skin look, hers paired with nude tones on her lips and eyelids.

Like many, Thompson eschewed dramatic blush — a major trend of the last few years — in favor of more bronzy and nude tones. So did Jenna Ortega, whose makeup artist Melanie Inglessis used Dior Beauty to create a gothic, cool-toned look, and Chase Infiniti, who did however opt for a rosy lip.

Audrey Nuna, who is the singing voice of Mira in “KPop Demon Hunters,” went bold with a black matte lip that complemented her black-and-white archival Thom Browne look. Oona Chaplin, who plays Varang in “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” meanwhile channeled her character in the film with a similarly striking black smokey eye look.

Also in the bold beauty category: Teyana Taylor, who combined double-winged eye makeup with ombré brown lips and full brows.
