Forget the Ferragamo blouse, the custom Pandora diamonds, and the fresh, icy-blonde mane: What really captured our attention in Pamela Anderson‘s January 11 Golden Globes appearance was her skin-forward approach to beauty. And though this is nothing new, considering the starlet’s self-proclaimed makeup ban circa 2023, her look of the evening still stood out for one key reason. It was exclusively powered by skin care topicals from Sonsie, Anderson’s own vegan skin care line — something none of her fellow event attendees could say for themselves.
While Hollywood A-listers that night resorted to either surprisingly budget-conscious skin salves (Nikki Glaser’s $10 The Ordinary Plant-Derived Squalane being one) or pricier picks like The Beauty Sandwich’s SS02 Snatching Sauce that lifts and cuts back on inflammation for a cool $250 (it was a Golden Globes go-to for Emma Stone, Teyana Taylor, Rhea Seehorn, and more), Sonsie lives somewhere in the middle of this spectrum. Anderson’s bestsellers are high-performing, yes, but also come with sensible price tags attached.

To achieve her less-is-more results for one of entertainment’s biggest happenings of the year, Anderson used Sonsie’s Cleansing Mousse to rid her complexion of impurities while supporting the skin barrier with ginger root extract and healing bisabolol. As for the mousse’s scent? Why, its hints of rose are directly “inspired by the blooms in Pamela’s garden,” per the on-site description. This inclusion is truly personal.
“When I started working with the Sonsie group, I really wanted to start applying my life lessons and things that I’ve learned along the way — accepting where you are on your beauty journey — and I just felt like the rose garden, for me, was a very grounding message, because I kind of rediscovered myself in the rose garden,” Anderson told WWD for a previous story. “When you are using the [Cleansing Mousse], you know that I care deeply about it and about people that are using it, and the messaging that goes along with it is: You are beautiful just the way you are. You are good enough.”
Because all truly impactful beauty regimens are a process, the actress proceeded onto the next step: hydrating her face via the Sonsie Super Serum, a niacinamide-rich formula that works overtime for a dewy glow (in Anderson’s case, consider it secured) while being gentle on sensitive skin.
Sonsie’s recently arrived Adapt Cream was also showed off alongside Anderson’s all-white matching set and glittering diamond stacks. Another barrier-focused innovation, it regenerates, firms, and evens, all while coming equipped with a green hue that acts as a color corrector for redness. No doubt using a light touch so as to avoid excessive product buildup, Anderson augmented her prep with the Multi Moisture Cream. Here, glycerin clinches the starring role, preventing moisture evaporation; it’s joined by supporting actor hyaluronic acid, whose specialty is all things fine lines (and their prompt erasure).
Last but not least, Sonsie’s Basic Balm deserves a standing ovation: the kind Rose Byrne got when, after the category was presented by Anderson and Miley Cyrus, she won an award for the best lead actress in a musical or comedy. The squalane superstar makes pouts smoother, shinier, and plumper over time, which are all desirable adjectives in context of being as camera-ready as ever.
