On January 7, 2026, 123Herbals voluntarily recalled all lots of its Silintan Capsules after FDA analysis determined the product was tainted with meloxicam, a prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The Silintan Capsules were marketed as dietary supplements for the relief of joint and body aches and sold nationwide on the website 123herbals.com. The product was sold in packaged 25-count plastic bottles with blue labels.
According to the company’s risk statement, exposure to meloxicam at doses exceeding the recommended maximum daily dose of 15 mg per day may result in serious and potentially life-threatening events, including blood clots, heart attack, and stroke. Dangerous drug interactions may also occur in individuals taking blood thinners or other NSAIDs. As of the announcement date, 123Herbals reported no known adverse events related to the product.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled product and return it to the place of purchase, discard it, or consult a healthcare provider. Customers who purchased Silintan through the company’s website may return the product by mail for a refund. The company is notifying distributors and customers by email and has provided contact information for consumer questions.
In a separate recall announced on January 9, 2026, Modern Warrior voluntarily recalled all lots of its Modern Warrior Ready dietary supplement after regulatory testing identified undeclared ingredients, including tianeptine, 1,4-dimethylamylamine (1,4-DMAA), and aniracetam.
Modern Warrior Ready was marketed for metabolism boosting, improving brain function, and reducing cravings. The product was distributed nationwide from April 2022 through December 8, 2025, and sold directly to consumers online. It was packaged in a black plastic bottle with a black screw-top lid and black-and-gold tamper-evident shrink wrap. The label featured the Modern Warrior logo in gold, the product name “Body Repair Plan,” the word “READY” with a sunrise icon, and the phrase “Mental Clarity.” Each bottle contained 60 capsules.
Tianeptine, which is also called gas station heroin, has been linked to life-threatening events, including suicidal ideation or behavior in children, adolescents, and adults aged 25 and younger. Overdose risks include confusion, seizures, drowsiness, dry mouth, and shortness of breath, which may be worsened by alcohol use. Combining tianeptine with monoamine oxidase inhibitor antidepressants could lead to severe complications, including stroke and death.
Use of 1,4-DMAA has been associated with elevated blood pressure and cardiovascular problems such as heart attack, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. The announcement also notes that products containing synephrine have been reported to cause cardiovascular effects, especially when combined with caffeine.
Modern Warrior has ceased distribution, removed the product from sale, and quarantined remaining inventory. Consumers who purchased Modern Warrior Ready are instructed to stop using the product immediately.
For both recalls, consumers who believe they have experienced adverse reactions or quality issues are encouraged to report them to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
