(WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) confirmed Thursday that 11 residents contracted Salmonella linked to a recently recalled dietary supplement.

According to a DHS release, the infection was from Live it Up Branded Super Greens Powder, a dietary supplement that was recalled in January by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The first Wisconsinite to report symptoms relating to the outbreak said they started on October 1, 2025. The recall is issued for the Live it Up-brand Super Greens products with expiration dates from August 2026 to January 2028.
The product is largely sold online and ships nationwide, with 45 people in 21 different states reporting Salmonella infections from the product. The products recalled vary in flavor, but the FDA provided these images:

The Wisconsin DHS added that anybody who has used the product should monitor for symptoms of Salmonella and report immediately to a doctor. Those symptoms often include:
Rare cases could include serious illnesses, and people most often report symptoms between six hours and six days after swallowing the bacteria. Officials say two of the 11 infections in Wisconsin resulted in hospitalizations.
