Hannah Yip has great ideas, all of which ensure Bruins’ wellness.
Council members were evaluated in these areas on a scale from A to D, with D being poor performance and A being excellent performance.
However, not all of these ideas have come to fruition in fall quarter.
Yip was successful in hosting a variety of events that encouraged student wellness, like Massage Mondays and therapy dog campus visits.
Between spreading awareness on Instagram to tabling on Bruin Walk, it was clear Yip was thoroughly invested in students’ wellness – both mental and physical – this quarter.
“It was a great partnership and also a great way to meet more students where they’re already walking,” Yip said.
While Yip wanted to send out a student survey this quarter to gain more perspective on what students want from her office, she was unable to do so. She said this was because of the rapidness of the quarter system, which kept her from fully finishing the survey.
This survey, which Yip’s office hopes to put out in winter quarter, would greatly improve student engagement and transparency.
In conjunction with Yip’s other initiatives, like tabling on Bruin Walk and collaborating with student organizations, there is no doubt in the Board’s mind that Yip will be able to build a Student Wellness Commission that truly exists to serve students.
