National Nutrition Week is celebrated each year from 1st September to the 7th September.
India celebrated The National nutritional week from 1st to 7th September this year(2017). Its aim was to spread awareness about how nutrition plays important part in maintaining good health. The government is actively promoting this years theme “Optimal infant and young child feeding practices for better child health” which adds weight to the fact that better nutrition for infants can contribute to improve growth, productivity and national development. The Key Vitamin deficient in indian infants is vitamin D. This important nutrient is important for growth and bone development . To improve the levels of Vitamin D in infants a team of doctors from university college of medical sciences (UCMC) in New Delhi recently completed a clinical file to find simple methods to boost the levels of vitamin D in infants.
