HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (Gray News) – Authorities charged a woman with aggravated assault following an altercation at a gym in Texas.
According to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman, deputies responded Jan. 7 to reports of an assault at the 24 Hour Fitness location on Lake Plaza Drive.
Investigators said 24-year-old Aralyn Martinez recognized a person in the gym as someone her partner was involved with.
Martinez confronted the individual and threw a weighted plate at the person’s head in an attempt to cause injury, according to Herman.

“Aralyn Martinez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with aggravated assault,” Herman said in an online post.
Bond for Martinez was set at $1,000.
