Marie Pierre, owner of Revive Medical Weight Loss & Wellness in Jenkintown, opened her business in August 2024.

A Northeast Philadelphia native and a borough resident for the past five years, Pierre has been in healthcare for 20 years, including 10 as a nurse practitioner. She said the clinic was launched as a means for wellness to connect with empowerment, elegance, and transformation.

Revive Medical Weight Loss & Wellness specializes in wellness IV hydrations and medical weight loss, which include prescription medication such as injection therapies, personalized nutrition and lifestyle guidance, as well as ongoing medical monitoring.

The clinic has two nurses, two front desk employees, and a manager.

“We have a strong base of knowledge and empowerment. We really focus on monitoring and the follow up. That’s what makes us different. We really equip you with knowledge so that when you’re finished with our program, you can be successful on your own,” Pierre told Glenside Local. “I always tell our patients that the medicine is just to get you to a transition point. It’s half diet and half exercise. We treat you as if the medicine isn’t on the table. We do a lot of patient teach-in and education and help people hold themselves accountable.”

Revive Medical Weight Loss & Wellness asks each client to enter into a formal agreement which helps with follow through after the treatments are complete.

“If things aren’t working for you, we’ll figure out what to do next. We’re holding you accountable just as you’re holding us accountable,” she said. “We want our patients to be ready to make changes before they begin.”

Now a year and a half in, Pierre said the Jenkintown community has been a pleasure to work with.

“A lot of our clients are actually from the neighborhood. Jenkintown has been very good for us. It’s a cool little town,” she said.
