(ABC 6 News) – Two local colleges are once again offering free health care services to veterans in Rochester this February.
Veterans can get free services through Rochester Community and Technical College’s Dental Hygiene program and Winona State University’s Bridges Health. It’s thanks to a partnership between the colleges and the 3rd District of the American Legion Auxiliary.
On February 10th and 17th, students in these programs will deliver free dental and wellness services under the supervision of faculty and licensed healthcare providers.
Below is a list of what free services will be provided:
Dental care: Free dental cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, and exams from RCTC Dental Hygiene students.Wellness support: Graduate nursing and social work students from WSU Bridges Help will provide resources for housing, food and preventative care.Free dental kits
All active, reserve, and retired military personnel can take advantage of these services. They will be available at the RCTC Heintz Center on February 10th and 17th.
