US-based nutrition intelligence platform Fuelin has announced a new integration with Strava that automatically syncs completed workouts to provide updated fuelling recommendations.
The new feature is designed to ensure that nutrition plans reflect the actual effort and volume of an athlete’s training, rather than relying solely on planned sessions. When a workout is recorded on Strava, the data flows directly into Fuelin, which then adjusts daily nutrition guidance based on the real-world training load.
The integration accounts for unplanned sessions and updates existing custom plans to remain aligned with changes in an athlete’s schedule. According to Fuelling, this creates a simpler experience for those who may adjust their workouts or add extra sessions on the fly.
Scott Tindal, Chief Nutrition Officer at Fuelin, said “This integration brings personalised nutrition to a much broader community. Strava’s 180 million users internationally can now sync their completed workouts directly to Fuelin, making adaptive fueling easier than ever.”
The update is particularly relevant for endurance athletes who do not use Garmin devices but rely on Strava to monitor their training. By closing the gap between training data and nutrition, the platform aims to provide more accurate guidance for recovery and performance.
Cited benefits of the new integration include:
Automatic syncing of completed Strava workouts
Fueling plans that adjust based on real-time training load
Reduced manual tracking for the athlete
More personalised nutrition guidance based on actual output
Fuelin provides daily nutrition plans tailored to specific training goals and is used by high-profile athletes such as Jan Frodeno, Daniela Ryf, and Holly Lawrence. The app already integrates with Garmin and various training platforms, such as TrainingPeaks, HumanGO, TriDot, RunDot, and Final Surge.
For those not using a connected training platform, the app also allows for the manual creation of workout schedules to generate fueling requirements.
