When comedian and Giggly Squad co-host Hannah Berner is on tour (like she is now—check for None of My Business dates near you!), she deploys a multi-pronged approach to her wellness routine.
“Drinking water, trying to get enough sleep, and being nice to yourself are, like, my three things I do when on the road with stand up,” Hannah tells Women’s Health in the latest episode of the video series Well Said. “Even though I can’t actually sleep a lot, I’m never going to be able to drink enough water, and I’m never going to be fully nice to myself—that’s the goal.”
Off the road is a different story, of course, and Hannah knows exactly how she would spend a perfect self-care day, if she had her way. It would start at 10 a.m. (“not too early”) with what Hannah describes as “BDSM for hot girls.” Yes, she’s talking about Pilates. The 34-year-old tries to get in a class two or three times a week. Next, she would go to brunch, letting her cravings guide what she orders. (She does concede to enjoying a sweet-and-savory combo, with an egg dish for herself and a side of pancakes for the table.)
Then, it would be nap time, followed by some light TV viewing. “I’m putting on, like, a disturbing documentary to remind myself my day could have been worse, because life is about perspective,” she says. Finally, she would conclude her day by FaceTiming a friend, calling her grandma, and eating dinner. A full and fun schedule, if you ask us!
More Well Said:
Speaking of fun, when it comes to the most underrated wellness tip out there, Hannah says it’s simple: Laugh. “Laughter and not taking life too seriously has brought a lightness to me,” she says.
