Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to follow the usual script. This year, Mornings at the Museum is kicking off 2026 with a feel-good celebration of self-care at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. We’re talking Mat Movement, sound baths, and a wellness market, all wrapped up in one of the best contemporary art spaces in the city.

Mat Movement with Pilates Movement
Cameron Kotch, founder of Pilates Movement, leads an energetic Mat Movement class to get your morning started. It’s the kind of workout that leaves you feeling strong and centered rather than wiped out. The session runs for an hour, giving you enough time to really sink into the practice without feeling rushed.
Wellness Market and Complimentary Massages
After class, there’s a break designed for connecting. A curated wellness market brings together local vendors, and complimentary massages are available while you browse. It’s a solid opportunity to meet other people in San Diego’s wellness community and discover new products or services you might not have come across otherwise.
Open Heart Sound Bath with Zen Diego Wellness
Shannon French, founder of Zen Diego Wellness, closes out the morning with a deeply relaxing Open Heart Sound Bath. If you’ve never experienced one, think of it as meditation amplified by sound, designed to help you completely unwind. It’s a fitting way to wrap up a morning that’s all about taking care of yourself.

Museum Access Included
Your ticket also gets you into MCASD’s galleries, so you can explore the current exhibitions before or after the programming. The Kitchen at the MCASD is open if you want to grab a bite, making it easy to extend your morning into a full experience without having to leave the grounds.

See you there!
Sometimes the best way to celebrate any holiday is by doing something that actually makes you feel good, and this morning checks all the boxes.
📆 Saturday, February 14, 8:45 AM – 12 PM (Mat Movement at 9 AM, Sound Bath at 11 AM)
