As in-person wellness booms, the functional fitness accessories brand brought its community together across two days in New York City, blending workouts, panels and recovery moments

Stakt translated its community from product to physical space with the debut of Stakt Studio, a two-day wellness pop-up held in New York City.

Held last month, the experience marked the mat and functional fitness accessories brand’s first in-person activation, bringing together its growing community for a weekend centered on movement, mindfulness and connection.

Best known for its foldable fitness mats and multifunctional training tools designed to support strength, Pilates, sculpt and recovery, Stakt has built a loyal following. Stakt Studio represented the brand’s push to bring that ecosystem to life in a shared physical environment.

Programming across the two-day pop-up included a curated schedule of workouts spanning strength, low-impact sculpt and mobility, alongside mindfulness sessions, panel conversations and open community time. The space also functioned as Stakt’s first retail pop-up, allowing attendees to engage with the brand’s product suite in person while participating in classes that incorporated its signature mats and weights.

“Watching our community come together to move, connect, and experience Stakt in person was so special and such a beautiful reminder of why we started,” co-founder Millie Blumka told Athletech News. “As our first ever pop-up experience, Stakt Studio was a huge milestone for us and a celebration of the fact that what we’re building goes far beyond products; it’s about community.”

Fitness personality Katie Austin led one of the weekend’s marquee sessions, guiding attendees through a mat Pilates and cardio-based total-body workout that set the tone for the experience’s energy-forward approach to training.

On the conversation side, “Innovation and the Future of Wellness” brought together Austin alongside SBE founder Ella Rose McFadin, NuFace chief growth officer Molly Delp and Alice Mushrooms co-founder Charlotte Cruze for a panel moderated by Stakt co-founder Millie Blumka, exploring brand-building, community and the next phase of wellness entrepreneurship.

The weekend closed with “The Power of Showing Up: Movement Through Every Phase,” a fireside chat featuring Lindsay Arnold, AMB Method founder and physical therapist Ali Brunson and five-time Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings. Moderated by Blumka, the discussion examined how movement evolves across elite sport, motherhood and long-term health, reinforcing the pop-up’s emphasis on longevity and lived experience, not just workout formats.

“Stakt Studio was inspired by our community and the way movement shows up in real life,” Blumka said. “It’s our first-ever retail pop-up, but more importantly, it’s a space where movement, connection, and self-care can live together, whether you’re coming for a workout, a panel, or just a moment for yourself.”
