You’ve maybe seen her on the soccer sidelines, but Antonela Roccuzzo is stepping onto the field as the new celebrity face of Anastasia Beverly Hills. It’s a first for the Argentine mother of three and wife to Lionel Messi, who is prioritizing “Antonela time” in her life. Anastasia Soare, the founder of the brand, first met Roccuzzo at a party for Victoria Beckham and calls her a modern woman, saying, “What makes Antonela compelling is the balance. She is a devoted mother, a great partner, and a person with integrity.” Roccuzzo talks to ELLE about what she’s learned about wellness, work-life balance, and the lip liner she takes with her even to the gym.

What is your workout routine?

I try to work out every day. I go to a gym that’s only for women. Twice a week, I do FitJam classes, which are super fun, with a Brazilian teacher. It is a way for my mind to be in another place. It makes me forget everything, and starts my day in a good way.

Have you always been into weightlifting?

I started to be interested in [it] a few years ago. I used to be scared to do weights because I thought that I would become “big,” but that never happened. Everybody should do weights at least one hour a day, because it’s very important for the future. I always say to my mom and dad, “Please do a little bit of weight, even just twice a week.”

What have you discovered about the link between wellness and mental health?

I have always been very athletic, even during all my childhood. I did aerobics, but that was when I was more conscious about my body. But now it’s been maybe two or three years since I’ve had a strength, nutrition, diet, and recovery plan. For me, it’s like my therapy. I feel strong. It’s very important to do it as my meditation. I leave my phone in my bag. I put my Apple Watch on “Do Not Disturb,” and this is my one hour. I go there, come back home, and then have the rest of the day with the kids and everything.

How about nutrition, diet, and recovery?

My husband has to always be on a diet because of what he does. We have to eat healthy. We don’t drink alcohol and we don’t smoke. We try to have everything organic. It all comes together, with the exercise, the nutrition, and the mental health—it’s a way of living.

Can you share some of your favorite products?

I don’t put too much makeup on my face. I love the brow products and the lip liner named Dusty Rose. I have about 10 of these, and I put them in the car and everywhere [else]. I use it even when I go to the gym. At the gym, I at least like to line my lips and do my eyebrows.

What does being a woman mean to you in 2026?

I try to be focused on my family. My kids are my number one priority. And now, I’m in a position to start doing things for myself. It’s hard to find your balance, as a mom, businesswoman, and someone trying to be at events. I was feeling very guilty about leaving my house and not being present with the kids. I went to New York for a few days and was feeling bad about it. But when I came back, everybody was perfect. Nobody died. I realized that I can do things more often. But I think that it is very important for me to show them that you can be a powerful woman and you can have your own life. It’s important to do things for yourself. It was hard, and it still is. I don’t always enjoy it. But I have my husband’s support, and that is very important. If I didn’t have that support, I don’t think I would be fully doing this. I’m very shy and this is very new. No one knows my voice. I don’t speak. Even doing this interview is new for me. So with time, I am starting to be more confident about myself and more secure in myself.
