GREAT FALLS, Mont. – A man was arrested on Monday on four counts of indecent exposure as well as charges for theft, burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief after stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from a car and bar and days later masturbating numerous times outside of a barre fitness class.
According to court documents, police were dispatched to a reported car break-in on February 7 in Great Falls where they were informed by the owner that a $5,000 Swain bag, a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and a car jumper pack was stolen.
The car owner also provided video footage showing a man stealing the items. He was later identified as Sky Masai Ahenakew.
On the morning of February 9, police responded to reports of a man masturbating outside of Studio Barre. Court documents said the studio locked its doors as the women participating in a class inside feared for their safety.
Police said in court documents that they observed a man who looked like the suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, on 2 Alley South but lost him when he ran away.
A few hours later that morning, officers were called to the Magpie Bar for a burglary. Surveillance footage showed Ahenakew entering the business and stealing over $300 worth of alcohol and mixers.
The investigation remains ongoing. Prosecutors recommended Ahenakew be held on a $30,000 bail and GPS monitoring.
