This spring, Illinois Extension will hold a professional development Learning Institute in Effingham that will be open to all Illinois school food service staff.
The training will offer six hours of USDA Professional Standards credit at no charge. Topics covered will include speed scratch cooking, culinary math and employee recognition. An Illinois State Board of Education representative will also provide updates and have a Q&A session. Effingham County Health Department will be presenting top health inspection violations in school cafeterias.
