Day two of New York Fashion Week was clearly for the romantics. With Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors and Christian Siriano on the lineup—with Siriano even dropping his bid for entry into the beauty space—the shows were stacked with some of New York’s fashion darlings.
When fashion week falls during Valentine’s Day week, there’s such a beautiful shift in energy. Whether attendees are out to scout for fashion inspiration or beauty looks for their pending V-Day dates, there’s a bit more pep in everyone’s step. This season’s romantic glam was on full display, starting with Fashion Bomb Daily’s Claire Sulmers, who served a reddish-brown, side-parted layered wig paired with bordeaux-colored nails. Meanwhile, FORVR Mood founder Jackie Aina looked exceptionally chic in her polka-dotted number, but it was the close-up of her ballerina French-tip nails and the stunning rock on her left hand that truly sealed the deal on the romanticism of it all.
The Valentine’s Day memo clearly reached everyone on day two. We saw displays of February 14th-inspired hair colors: a short haircut popping with a cascading rainbow of purple, red, and pink, stylized in quite a bold design. Then, there were whimsical updos and fire-red bed-head curls. The amount of romantic inspiration was endless.
