TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – You’re invited to explore your inner world and find new outlets for everyday wellness.
The Topeka Spirit Fair is this weekend. Angie Kearney with Gemini Vibes Kansas and Troy Komahcheet, a spiritual drumming director, visited Eye on NE Kansas to share information about it.
Kearney said the weekend will be filled with vendors and workshops. She said the overall aim is to help people connect with various holistic and spiritual options for wellness.
Komahcheet said the rhythm of drumming can help people connect to their inner self. He and his son Koji demonstrated how it starts with one’s heartbeat, and expression flows from there. They will be doing demonstrations during the fair.
The Topeka Spirit Fair runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 28 & March 1 at The Woodshed Event Center, 1901 N. Kansas Ave. Tickets are $3 a day, or $5 for a weekend pass.
